Woman killed after SUV pulls in front of semi in Hardinsburg

A woman has been killed in Hardinsburg after pulling out of a parking lot and into the path of a semi-truck.

Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the accident Monday afternoon at approximately 1:15 at the intersection of Old Hwy 60 and Hwy 60.

Police said the preliminary investigation revealed that 48-year-old Daniella Zuelly, of Tell City, Indiana, was driving a 2021 Ford Edge when she entered the Hwy 60 intersection from Tractor Supply, traveling into the path of a southbound semi, being driven by 62-year-old Philip Wertz, of Zephyrhills, Florida.

Zuelly was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Wertz was not injured.
