A Clarkson man wanted in Tennessee has been nabbed in Leitchfield with methamphetamine.

Wednesday morning at approximately 3:00, Leitchfield Police Department Det. Kevin Smith, Sgt. Keith Harrell and Officer Jeff Helvey, along with Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jason Luedke, responded to FiveStar Food Mart, at 308 South Main Street, after receiving a report of a male behaving erratically outside the store.

Upon law enforcement’s arrival, the suspect, 55-year-old Jeffrey A. Kinser, had left the area. It took police only a few minutes to locate Kinser riding a bike on South English Street, behind Southgate Mall.

Upon making contact with Kinser, police said he dropped a bag of methamphetamine and syringe to ground. Then, through an investigation, it was learned Kinser had two warrants out of Sumner County, Tennessee, related to the suspect leading police on a pursuit in May 2020.

Kinser was arrested and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center where he was charged for at least the third time, possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served with the extraditable warrants.
