A Hardin County man has been jailed after accepting a shipment of hundreds of fentanyl pills.
Johntell L. Scott, 24, of West Point, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force immediately after he took delivery of the drugs at his home. The package, police said, was addressed to Scott.
The News-Enterprise reports that the arrest citation says that once inside the residence, the task force located “several hundred pills matching fentanyl Percocet fraudulent pills” in the shipment. Police also found several other bags “matching the pills that had just been delivered.”
Scott was charged with importing fentanyl, trafficking in a controlled substance (aggravating circumstances, fentanyl), trafficking in marijuana and acquiring property from income derived from trafficking in a controlled substance.
He’s being held in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $75,000 cash bond.
