A Grayson County man has been arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy.

On Saturday, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Fred Norder was dispatched to Day’s Pro Bass convenience store at 13587 Wax Road to investigate a possible sexual assault.

According to the arrest citation, the mother of the victim said 21-year-old Maulik “Mike” Patel, who works at the convenience store, “had become very inappropriate” with her son by telling the boy “to go into the bathroom” and he would “f*** him in the ass.” Patel then “grabbed the victim’s right buttock and squeezed,” the citation states.

The citation further says there were witnesses to Patel’s inappropriate actions.

Patel was arrested and charged with second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, a class D felony, and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center. He is no longer listed as an inmate.
