A Hardin County man has led police on a pursuit reaching over 120 miles per hour on a motorcycle.

William E. Stovall, 25, of Elizabethtown, was arrested late Monday night after being clocked by Kentucky State Police traveling 102 miles per hour as he traveled north on the Joe Prather Highway. When the trooper activated his emergency lights, Stovall accelerated, running red lights and passing vehicles on double yellow lines, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.

The suspect then turned onto Battletown Road, and while trying to make a U-turn in the middle of the road, Stovall left the roadway and entered a ditch. He fled on foot before being tased twice, bringing Stovall into compliance.

Police located marijuana on the suspect, whose eyes were bloodshot and watery, the newspaper reports.

Stovall was charged with two counts of fleeing or evading police (on a motor vehicle, on foot), DUI, reckless driving, speeding 26 mph or more over the limit, and no motorcycle license.

He was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center. Stovall was released after posting a $5,000 partially secured bond.
