Alice Faye Grant, age 78, of Clarkson, passed away, Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at her residence.
She was born February 28, 1943, in Leitchfield, to the late Woodrow and Elma Bee Probus Childress. She a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, a member of “TOPS” (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), where she was a “KOP” and a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Tristan Lashley, a brother, Freddie Childress; a brother-in-law, Robert Kinkade and two sisters-in-laws, Wanda Childress and Melissa Grant.
She is survived by her husband, John A. Grant, Sr.; her children, John Grant, Jr. (Kimberla), Pamela Grant Reinhard, Timothy Grant (Shelia) and Regina Jewell (William Jeffery); her siblings, Chester Childress (Martina), Anna-Rea Kinkade, Jerry Childress (Carolyn) and Larry Childress (Mable); eight grandchildren, Celeste Grant, Sam Grant, Heather Winchell, Ariel Lashley, Christopher Grant, Jordan Grant, Dathan Jewell and Holly Toler; nine great-grandchildren, Bianca, Aidan, Logan, Gunner, Allison, Lillian, Alyssa, Kloe and Brooklyn; three sisters-in-laws, Rose York, Mary Enith Ross and Mary Ain Dennis and three brothers-in-laws, Joe, Kenneth and Jimmy Grant.
Funeral Mass will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, September 18, 2021, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. Jamie Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Anthony Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM, Friday and from 9 AM to 1:30 PM, Saturday at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home.
Prayer service will be held at 6 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
