James “Greg” Hodges, 59, of Cecilia, KY, passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2021.

He was born in Leitchfield, KY on November 12, 1962. His parents are JC and Laverne Hodges and the late Frances (Paul) Noll.

Greg was a career truck driver for Escue Wood Preserving. His family and friends described him as “never late” and “one of the hardest workers they knew.” In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Sunday dinners with his family, and enjoying conversation with his quick wit. Some of his many hobbies included hunting, fishing, farming and racing old cars. He especially loved driving his Peterbilt truck. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving children Crissy Rowland of Bowling Green, Craig (Kristy) Hodges of Leitchfield, Garrett Hodges of Vine Grove and Jacob Barbour of Vine Grove.

He adored his four grandchildren, Noah and Jaycie Rowland and Hayden and Hadley Hodges.

He leaves behind a loving companion, Billie Sue Hodges. His two siblings Justin (Marlene) Greer and Sonya Hubley, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Greg’s family and friends are crushed to see him go, but in true-to-Greg fashion, he was early in this sense also. His memory is cherished and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM (CST), Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home in Clarkson with Bro. Blake Newton officiating. Burial will follow in the Clarkson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM (CST), and after 11 AM (CST), Saturday at the funeral home.
