Two Beaver Dam men have been arrested after one of the men sold the other man his juvenile daughter.

After an investigation, Kentucky State Police arrested 34-year-old Diego Alonzo-Perez Tuesday night and charged him with human trafficking (commercial sex activity).

Troopers and Social Services officials launched an investigation in November when police learned that Alonzo-Perez’s juvenile daughter gave birth to a boy in March 2021, state police said. The investigation showed that Alonzo-Perez had sold his daughter to 20-year-old Lucas Mateo for $8,000 in March 2020. The juvenile, court records indicate, was raped daily.

Mateo was also arrested Tuesday night and charged with third-degree rape.

Both men are being held in the Ohio County Detention Center on $50,000 cash bonds.

The investigation continues.
