A central Kentucky murder suspect is on the run.
The Nicholasville Police Department said 54-year-old Kenneth Strange, of Nicholasville, is the prime suspect in the murder of a woman found shot to death in Strange’s home on Lauren Drive early Wednesday morning. The woman’s identity has not been released.
Police have obtained warrants for Strange, accusing him of murder and tampering with physical evidence.
Strange is possibly in a black 2019 Jeep Renegade with Kentucky license plate number AMD-912. He could be in the company of a woman named Shirley Shewmaker. Police said they are concerned about Shewmaker’s well-being.
Strange, police added, should be considered armed and dangerous.
