Bernetha W. Mercer, age 86, of Hardinsburg, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Entered into rest on Saturday, February 19, 2022.
She was a librarian 20 years with Evangel Tabernacle, Ninth and O and Southwest Christian Schools. She was a member of the Falls of the Rough Baptist Church.
Mrs. Mercer was preceded in rest by her parents, Roy Ward and Ruby Haycraft Johnson; and two brothers, James and Cecil Ward.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Clyde Mercer; three children, Judy Williamson (Mike), Kenneth Mercer (Gail) and Ronnie Mercer (Connie); five grandchildren, Danyel Hawkins, Dustin Converse, Felicia Coleman, Hannah Buller and Jaclyn Harbin; 11 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Chester Ward and Ben Ward.
Her funeral will be Wednesday at 11am at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12 noon until 8pm.
