Late run gives Butler County 49-37 win over Grayson County

A 17-0 run by Butler County late in the third quarter and at the start of the fourth gave the Lady Bears a 49-37 win to eliminate Grayson County from the 12th District Tournament.

The Lady Cougars last led following a long jumper from Aryssa Rigg, 28-25 with 3:57 left in the third period. The Lady Bears then reeled off their 17-0 run to lead 42-28 with 3:44 left to play.

Grayson County trailed by a point, 18-17 at the half.

Senior Gracie Cardwell led the Lady Bears with 16 points before she fouled out with 38 seconds left in the game.

Riggs led all scorers with 17 points for the Lady Cougars. Sydney Perkins finished with nine points, Raigan Cave had seven and Allie Jennings rounded out the score with four points.
