A man has been arrested in Edmonson County after allegedly burglarizing a property.
The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office responded Thursday morning at approximately 3:00 to the 1700 block of Louisville Road after the property owner spotted a suspect taking his belongings.
The property owner observed the suspect, 22-year-old William C. Jones, of Henderson, on a surveillance camera, according to multiple media reports.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies made contact with Jones, who was in possession of the property owner’s tools, as well as tools used to commit the burglary.
He was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and theft by unlawful taking.
Jones was lodged in the Hart County Jail. He is no longer listed as an inmate at the facility.
Police continue to search for a second suspect that eluded the homeowner and law enforcement.
