Roger Hodges, age 65, of, Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (March 26, 2022) at Signature Health and Rehab in Elizabethtown, KY.
He was born on May 10, 1956 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Asa B. and Mary Catherine Dennis Hodges.
A Veteran of the US Navy, Roger worked in construction and as a production line worker Vermont American and enjoyed playing cards, reading, watching westerns, and helping people. He was a proud member American Legion Post #81.
He is survived by his brother, Cecil Hodges (Kelly) of Leitchfield; four sisters, Darlene Lyons (Bobby) of Leitchfield, Judy Cantrell (David) of Somerset, KY, Dorothy Jacobs (Allen) of Leitchfield, and Brenda Avenetti (Doug) of Phoenix AZ. He was especially close with all of the Logsdon family, and is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandy Hodges; two nephews, Brian Hodges & Ronnie Lyons, and his beloved dog, Laddie.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen, and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post # 81 on Sunday, April 24, 2022.
