The Caneyville woman wanted on drug trafficking and other charges has surrendered.

Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins said 45-year-old Jean L. Wieland surrendered to deputies at the sheriff’s office Monday morning. Chaffins said the surrender was prearranged by him and Wieland.

She was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

On January 21, Wieland was arrested after a lengthy investigation by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force. During the execution of a search warrant at a Caneyville residence by the task force, Leitchfield Police Department and Kentucky State Police, law enforcement seized three-and-a-half pounds of methamphetamine, 10 pounds of marijuana, firearms, and drug paraphernalia along with other drugs, police said.

At the time of her arrest, Wieland was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She has since been charged with engaging in organized crime, possession of a controlled substance (heroin), unlawful possession of a meth precursor, and possession of a defaced firearm.
