A Breckinridge County man was found on Sunday after he failed to return home on Friday.
The Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office said Tony Nottingham, 48, left his residence Friday afternoon at 5:30 to look for ginseng. He never returned home.
Officials searched several locations for Nottingham, including Hudson, Locust Hill and Fairfield, before he was found alive Sunday afternoon at approximately 3:15.
No additional information has been released, including Nottingham’s current condition.
Darrell Carter, 75, of Whitley County, who went missing on Sunday, June 12, was found Wednesday night at approximately 8:00 by a farmer checking his fields, according to the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office. Carter, who had been hunting in mountainous terrain in dangerously high temperatures, was dehydrated and had suffered cuts and bruises but was otherwise in good health.
He was transported to Baptist Health Corbin.
Carter was found about a mile outside of the search grid.
A Golden Alert was issued Sunday by Whitley County Sheriff Danny Moses when worried family members alerted authorities that Carter did not return home from hunting.
