Kentucky State Police is investigating a car vs. train crash in eastern Kentucky.
The accident happened Monday morning at approximately 11:15 in the Allen community in Floyd County.
The man occupying the passenger car that was struck by the CSX train was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, state police told news outlets.
No further information has been released by KSP.
CSX issued the following statement on the accident:
Just after 11:00 a.m. today, a CSX train struck an occupied vehicle on the railroad tracks at Beaver Avenue in Allen, KY. The vehicle occupant was transported to a local hospital …. There were no injuries to the train crew. CSX personnel are cooperating with the Kentucky State Police, who are investigating the incident.
