Grayson Co. COVID cases, positivity rate fall in week-to-week comparison

COVID-19 cases in Grayson County fell slightly and the positivity rate decreased in a week-to-week comparison.

For the week ending Sunday, the county reported 79 new cases of the virus to the Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH), down from the 85 new cases announced two weeks ago.

The county’s positivity rate, which was 23.43 percent two weeks ago, checked in at 19.75 percent for the week ending Sunday.

(Positivity rate and case number statistics do not include residents who conduct home tests and fail to report results to the Grayson Co. Health Department).

One new death was reported, raising the county’s death toll to 141, the KDPH reports.

Since the onset of the pandemic, Grayson Co. has had 9,020 cases of the virus diagnosed.
