A Cave City man has died after hitting a box truck.
According to Kentucky State Police, on Thursday afternoon at approximately 1:00, troopers responded to the accident in the 9000 block of Happy Valley Road (Hwy 90) in Cave City.
Police said the preliminary investigation showed that 63-year-old Joe Moore, of Cave City, was driving a 2017 Nissan passenger car south on Happy Valley Road when he crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2020 Freightliner box truck, being driven by 71-year-old Terry Lane, of Bedford.
Moore was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Barren County Coroner’s Office. No other injuries were reported.
The investigation is being led by Trooper Michael Wathen.
