The Falls of Rough, McDaniels and Hardinsburg Fire Departments fought a mobile home fire Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters responded to the fire at 75 Tick Ridge Road, just inside Breckinridge County, Sunday afternoon at approximately 12:30.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found the mobile home nearly fully engulfed in flames. They battled the blaze for about an hour but the home was a total loss.
The fire appeared to begin in one of the home’s bedrooms, Falls of Rough Fire Chief David Mercer said.
The lone occupant of the home was unhurt, but his dog perished in the blaze.
