A woman has been killed in a three-car accident in Barren County.

Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the wreck Tuesday morning at 8:30 in the 6700 block of Burkesville Road (Hwy 90).

Police said the preliminary investigation indicated that 44-year-old Heather E. Slater, of Edmonton, was driving a 2015 Dodge Caravan west on Burkesville Road when she crossed the center line and struck a 2011 Toyota Highlander, being driven by 43-year-old Michael C. Forsythe, of Princeton.

Slater’s vehicle continued, police said, striking an eastbound 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, being driven by 62-year-old Timothy Jackson, of Winneconne, Wisconsin.

The front passenger in the Caravan, 62-year-old Karrie J. Selner, of Edmonton, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Barren County Coroner’s Office.

The drivers of all three vehicles along with a passenger in the Equinox were transported to TJ Samson Community Hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is being led by KSP Det. Michael Waggener.
