A Bowling Green man involved in a wide-ranging conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in and around Warren County was sentenced yesterday to nearly 21 years in prison.
Tyrecus J. Crowe, 30, was sentenced to 20 years and 10 months in federal court in Bowling Green after conspiring to distribute 500 grams or more of a “methamphetamine mixture,” according to prosecutors.
K105 reported when Crowe and his conspirators were federally charged in December 2020.
Crowe was one of the leaders of the conspiracy and was responsible for ordering and arranging the transportation of approximately 34.32 kilograms (75.5 pounsd) of methamphetamine, prosecutors said. Approximately 17 kilograms (37.4 pounds) of methamphetamine was seized in Texas on July 2, 2020, and another 17 kilograms of methamphetamine was seized in Simpson County on August 30, 2020. Both methamphetamine shipments were targeted for Bowling Green.
Crowe made a considerable amount of money from the conspiracy, according to prosecutors, and purchased a trucking business, a tow truck business, and a home with a cash down payment of approximately $130,000.
Crowe made numerous recorded jail phone calls, and in one of the calls he admitted to making and spending over $1 million in Las Vegas, Nevada, saying that he never knew “cleaning money” would be so difficult.
Crowe is the last defendant of the conspiracy to be sentenced.
