A Clarkson man is facing felony charges after trying to break into a home and pointing a gun at two people.

On Monday afternoon at approximately 4:20, Clarkson Police Officer Jordan Jones, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Nick Pruitt and Deputy Erik Franklin responded to a report of a man with a gun trying to enter a home in the 400 block of South Patterson Street in Clarkson.

While officers were en route, the suspect, 33-year-old Jason D. Hudson Jr., left the area. Within minutes, though, Jones and Pruitt located the suspect’s vehicle at Barrett’s Marathon at 918 Millerstown Road, according to the arrest citation.

Hudson was found outside the vehicle, while a handgun was located in the “backseat/trunk area” of the Chevrolet Lumina he was driving.

Further investigation showed that Hudson and a female began arguing when he was asked to “leave the premises” by the female and a male, the citation states. Hudson then retrieved a handgun from his vehicle and “pointed it both individuals and clicked the safety off,” according to the citation, while “actively trying to break into the house.”

Hudson was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment. He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

Clarkson Police Chief Buck Meredith assisted at the scene.
