A Leitchfield man has admitted to kidnapping and forcibly raping a juvenile multiple times.

The Leitchfield Police Department arrested 26-year-old Michael F. Logsdon and his mother, 50-year-old Tara G. Embry, also of Leitchfield, and charged Logsdon with three counts of first-degree rape and kidnapping (minor). Embry was charged with complicity to first-degree rape and complicity to kidnapping (minor).

According to the arrest citations, Logsdon forcibly raped a girl he knew to be 13-years-old in a vehicle multiple times and also at a Leitchfield residence. Embry is accused of knowing Logsdon had raped the minor twice in a vehicle and was present during the rape at a Leitchfield residence.

Both Logsdon and Embry, while being questioned, admitted to the crimes, the citations state.

Embry is also accused in the citation of warning the juvenile to not tell anyone about the sexual assaults. Additionally, Embry told police that she wanted the victim returned to her after she was questioned.

Logsdon, if convicted, faces up to 80 years in prison. Embry faces up 10 years in prison if convicted.

Both suspects are being held in the Grayson County Detention Center.
