A high-speed pursuit began that began at Kentucky State Police Post 4 headquarters ended in the arrest of an Elizabethtown man on fleeing and drug trafficking charges.
Monday morning, 18-year-old Qua’Darrius Skillman was in a Kia Forte in the parking lot of KSP Post 4 headquarters in Elizabethtown as a friend was inside being interviewed, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.

Speeds, police told the newspaper, reached 115 miles per hour. Skillman also struck a KSP cruiser during the chase.
During a search of Skillman and the vehicle, troopers located methamphetamine, a stolen firearm, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Skillman was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, first-degree wanton endangerment, trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), trafficking in marijuana, receiving stolen property (firearm), two counts of fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle, on foot), reckless driving, resisting arrest, first-degree criminal mischief, speeding 26 mph or more over the limit, driving on a suspended/revoked license, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served with two failure to appear warrants.
The drug charges are enhanced due to the presence of a firearm.
