Nancy Marie Stevenson Elmore, age 93, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (December 13, 2022) at the Beehive Assisted Living Center in Leitchfield, KY. She was born on February 23, 1929 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Mitchell and Daisy Stevenson.
She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, flower gardening, and visiting with her family and friends. She was a long-time member of the Antioch General Baptist Church in Clarkson, KY for over 80 years, since the age of 13 years old.
She is survived by her 3 children, Larry Dale Elmore (Betty) of Leitchfield, Rhonda Lynn Wooden (Glenn) of Leitchfield, and Michael Kerry Elmore (Anastasia) of Seymour, TN; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Linninger (Jason), Jeremy Elmore (Sara), Wesley Wooden, Evan Wooden, Kerry Elmore, Stevenson Elmore (Cassidy); 3 step-grandchildren, Basil, Alexander,
and Elise Thacker; 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 step-brother, AD Elmore (Brenda) of Clarkson, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive, as well as a close spiritual family from Antioch General Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Elmore, brothers, Raymond, Elsie, Clayton, Dennis, Elmon and Glennuel Stevenson; and sisters, May Decker, Leatha Shartzer, Beatrice Logsdon and Gertrude Blanton.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, (December 21, 2022) at the Antioch General Baptist Church on HWY 88. Bro. Gary Embry will be officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until 11:00 a.m. at which time we will leave for the church services.
