Over 500 shell casings found after shootout at Louisville apartment complex

A Louisville apartment complex was riddled with bullet holes after a shootout on New Year’s Eve.

The investigation into the shooting at the Enclave at Breckinridge apartments in the Hikes Point section of Louisville resulted in police finding 600 shell casings and countless bullet holes in the apartment building and nearby vehicles, according to a report by WAVE3.com.

Louisville police believe over 40 different firearms were used during the shooting. No serious injuries were reported.

The shooting was not previously reported by Louisville news outlets or spoken about publicly by the Louisville Metro Police Department.

No arrests have been made.

The ATF is assisting Louisville police with the investigation.
