A Glasgow woman has been accused of killing her ailing husband.

The Glasgow Police Department on Saturday arrested 71-year-old Donna C. Logsdon, and charged her in the July 2, 2022, death of her husband, 75-year-old Michael O. Logsdon.

In November 2022, after a four-and-a-half month investigation, police arrested the Logsdons’ daughter, 45-year-old Cheryl L. Bennett, with addresses in Glasgow and McMinnville, Tennessee, and charged her with murdering her father.

Donna Logsdon was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond, 10 percent cash. Bennett was released from jail after her bond was lowered.

Michael Logsdon had amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), “a progressive nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing loss of muscle control,” according to the Mayo Clinic. ALS is often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, after the Hall of Fame baseball player who was diagnosed with the disease and died at age 37.

WCLU.com reports that according to Bennett’s arrest citation, “a device he had used to breathe was linked to certain suspicious activity.”

The autopsy report finds that Michael Logsdon’s death was a homicide.
