The Leitchfield Police Department is requesting the public’s help identifying two suspects who burglarized a Leitchfield convenience store.

As K105 reported Monday morning, Leitchfield officers responded Monday morning at 2:00 to Center Court, at 1421 Brandenburg Road, to the report of a possible break-in.

Leitchfield PD Det. Sgt. Ian Renfrow said surveillance video shows two male subjects attempt to enter a side door without success. The suspects then broke the front door glass and made entry at approximately 1:45 a.m.

“The suspects vandalized gaming machines and got away with money from inside of at least one machine,” Renfrow said.

Police have not been able to identify the suspects via surveillance video, as the suspects were heavily clothed and wearing masks. However, investigators believe the hoodie worn by one of the suspects is unique and may be recognized by someone — It appears to be a black hoodie or hooded jacket with multiple images of mushrooms on the back.

Anyone with information on either of the burglary suspects, or the burglary itself, is asked to contact the Leitchfield PD at 270-259-3850 or 270-259-0303.
