Nellie Brooks Wright, 73, of Brownsville passed away at 4:16 PM Feb. 16, 2023 at Edmonson Center.
The Edmonson County native was homemaker Her most cherished memories were hunting and fishing with her family and friends. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything. She was a daughter of the late Carlton Brooks and Cora Vincent Brooks and the wife of the late Dennis “Butch” Wright.
Visitation will take place 12-3 PM Saturday, Feb. 25th at Gravil Funeral Home. With funeral services to begin at 3:00 PM.
Surviving are three daughters, Lori Foulks (Wayne) and Deborah Cowles (Jeff) both of Brownsville and Carol Chandler (Greg) of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Dennis Moore (Alexa), Megan Hatfield (Zack), Dawn Abell (Dustin), Daniel Wright, Aaron Foulks (Samantha), Lindsey Cowles, Cody Cowles (Margaret) and Adam Foulks; and nine great grandchildren, Laynee, Nevaeh, Dallas, Lennox, Cassidy, Duke, Remington, Charlotte and Bexley.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff of Edmonson Health Care Center and Lori Wardlow for the love and care that they provided to Nellie during her stay.
