
A LaRue County man has pled guilty in the death of his girlfriend in 2016.
David C. Puyear, 60, of Buffalo, pled guilty to manslaughter, abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence, according to WDRB.com, in the death of Angel Jessie, which occurred sometime between May 16 and May 31, 2016. He was originally charged with murder in Jessie’s death.
After killing Jessie, Puyear and his son, 42-year-old Shawn Puyear, of Louisville, buried the body in David Puyear’s backyard at his home in the 500 block of Corinth Road, about six miles east of Hodgenville.
Police did not locate the body until September 2021 after receiving a tip.
Shawn Puyear previously pled guilty to tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. He received a four year prison sentence.
