Kentucky State Police is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Union County.
State police said the Union County Sheriff’s Office requested KSP detectives investigate the shooting that occurred on Thursday night, March 16 at approximately 7:50.
A male subject was transported from the scene to a local hospital for treatment, state police said. A Union County deputy was also taken to a local hospital where the officer was treated and released.
The Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Response Team is conducting the investigation.
No further details were released.
