The Anneta man who confessed to killing his wife has pled guilty to murder as well as child molestation and incest charges.

Orbay Wilson, 29, according to court documents, pled guilty in a Grayson County courtroom to murder (domestic violence), two counts of first-degree sodomy (victim under the age of 12), two counts of incest (victim under the age of 12), two counts of use of a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance, two counts of possessing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor (victim under the age of 12), and tampering with physical evidence.

Wilson agreed to a life sentence on the murder charge, 20 years each on the sodomy charges, 20 years each on the incest charges, 20 years each on the use of a minor in a sex performance counts, 20 years each on the child porn charges, and five years on the tampering count.

The sentences will run concurrently. Per Kentucky Revised Statute, he will be eligible for parole after serving 20 years. According to the plea agreement, upon his release, Wilson will serve five years of supervised release and he must register as a sex offender for the remainder of his lifetime.

Following a Division of Probation and Parole pre-sentencing report, formal sentencing will be held on June 6, 2023.

Wilson, on the afternoon of June 29, 2022, shot his 23-year-old wife, Lexus C. Wilson, as she slept in their mobile home in the 200 block of Decker School Road in Anneta.

Soon after arriving at the residence, Grayson Co. Sgt. Clay Boone and EMS personnel requested Grayson Co. Coroner Joe Brad Hudson.

Hudson, during the post-mortem examination at the residence, noticed suspicious blood splatter evidence on the victim and then on the suspect, according to a person familiar with the investigation. That, along with other unusual circumstances, prompted the coroner’s office to notify the sheriff’s office that Orbay Wilson needed to be interrogated.

Kentucky State Police was notified by Sheriff Norman Chaffins of the potential murder, with KSP Detective James Gaither then assisting the investigation.

That investigation led Gaither to question Wilson at the Leitchfield Police Department. During questioning, according to the arrest citation, he confessed to shooting his wife.

Wilson was originally charged with murder (domestic violence) and tampering with physical evidence. He was indicted on those charges in early August 2022.

The new charges of sodomy, sexual abuse and incest appear to indicate Wilson molested at least one of his young children.

He remains lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
