
Four people have been arrested in Hart County as the U.S. Marshals Service assisted local and state law enforcement in capturing two fugitives and arresting two Munfordville residents.
The Hart County Sheriff’s Office said that on Wednesday, March 29, deputies, Marshals and Kentucky State Police joined forces to locate two fugitives from Ohio and in the process arrest two Hart County residents, one a felon, on drug and gun charges.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested Gary L. Thornton, 64, of Munfordville, and charged him with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police also arrested Angela D. Townes, 63, of Munfordville, and charged her with possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified) and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also served with a failure to appear warrant.
Two wanted suspects out of Ohio, Semaj M. English, 22, of Cincinnati, and Mary McAdams, 36, of North Bend, were served with fugitive from out of state warrants.
All four suspects were lodged in the Hart County Jail.
