
Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown has released its May Activity Report.
According KSP Post 4 Public Affairs Officer Scotty Sharp, troopers and detectives:
- Wrote 1,944 citations and arrested 20 impaired drivers.
- Opened 41 criminal cases, made 242 arrests and served 102 criminal court documents.
- Cited 477 speeders and issued citations to 157 motorists for failure to wear a seat belt, with nine citations issued for failure to use a child restraint seat.
- Investigated 38 motor vehicle accidents and assisted 124 stranded motorists.
- Gave 172 courtesy notices for minor traffic offenses.
- Conducted 55 school and business security checks and answered 872 citizen complaints.
- Were involved in 533 special details and conducted 15 community programs.
Sharp reminds motorists that KSP Post 4 troopers will conduct Road Safety Checkpoints as well as Speed Checkpoints throughout the eight county Post 4 coverage area during June and throughout the remainder of 2023.
Kentucky State Police Post 4 covers Hardin, Jefferson, Bullitt, Nelson, Meade, Breckinridge, LaRue, and Grayson counties.
