Grayson County Track and Field sending Three Entries to Saturday’s State Championship Meet

The Grayson County High School track and field team will send three entries to Saturday’s KHSAA state championship meet at the University of Kentucky.

Amelia Hayes, who won the region championship, will represent the team in the pole vault.

Houston Brooks, who was second in the region, will run in the 1600m dash.

Additionally, GCHS will have a 4x800m dash team in the competition. That team, which will be narrowed down to four ahead of Saturday, consists of Luke Cann, Ryan Higdon, Houston Brooks, Jackson Crume, Tyler Portman, Landon Lowrey, and Daniel Ratley.

The teams will start around 9:00 local time on campus in Lexington.
