A Butler County man has been jailed after police located a multitude of drugs and a rifle.

On Tuesday, Morgantown officers responded to Jim Embry Drive, near the intersection of Veteran’s Way and I-165, on the report of a man “beating on someone’s door and refusing to leave the residence,” Morgantown Police Chief Giles Taylor said.

Upon arriving at the scene, police made contact with the suspect, Carl Lindsey, of Morgantown.

Lindsey, who Taylor said appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance, gave officers consent to search his vehicle.

During the search, police located 15 pills inside an unmarked container, two white pills in an unmarked container, three glass pipes containing methamphetamine and an “AR style shotgun” along with two magazines, Taylor stated.

Lindsey was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. All the charges are enhanced due to the presence of the firearm.

Lindsey was lodged in the Butler County Jail but is no longer listed as an inmate.
