A death investigation is underway in Madison County after the body of a teenager was found.
The body of 16-year-old Faith “Ivy” Reed, of Berea, was found Friday morning at approximately 9:00 near Boone Street, about one mile from Berea College. Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison confirmed to WKYT.com it was Reed’s body that was found.
The cause of death has not yet been determined. The body was transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy. Cornelison, though, said foul play is not suspected.
Reed was a sophomore at Berea Community High School.
