A person has perished in a structure fire in Ohio County.
The Beaver Dam and Rosine Fire Departments responded Friday to the house fire in the 800 block of Sandefur Crossing Road, about five miles east of Beaver Dam.
Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright said once the fire was extinguished, it was discovered the occupant of the residence was still inside.
The sheriff’s office is leading a death investigation. The name of the decedent has not been released.
