Jeffrey Allan Carnes, 62, of Bee Spring passed away Wednesday Aug. 16, 2023 at his home.
The Edmonson County native was a 1979 graduate of Edmonson County High School, a construction worker- working mostly as a carpenter and bridge builder, was a proud U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Fairview United Baptist Church. He was a son of Bobby Carnes and Judy Saling Carnes of Bee Spring, who survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Joe Carnes.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will take place 3-7 PM Sunday and after 9:00 AM Monday at Gravil Funeral Home.
Also surviving are a son, Kyle Carnes (Tiffany) of Smiths Grove; three sisters, Debbie Jaggers (James) of Mammoth Cave, Sherry Gibson (Kevin) of Brownsville and LaDonna Houchin (Rick) of Bowling Green; two brothers, Bart Helson (Lynn) of Scottsville and Tony Carnes of Big Clifty; three grandchildren, Braxton Carnes, Zaylee Carnes and Emerson Carnes; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, whom he loved very much.
