A Bullitt County teenager has died in a car crash near Shepherdsville.
Ava “Luci” Krueger, 16, a junior at Bullitt Central High School, perished on Saturday at University of Louisville Hospital.
She was involved in a car accident Friday night at approximately 10:15 at the intersection of Deatsville Road and Colyer Lane, about five miles southeast of Shepherdsville, according to media reports.
Krueger ran cross country for her high school.
“We are devastated at the loss of our daughter,” Luci’s parents said in a statement to WHAS11.com. “A few short words cannot capture how special she was to us. She was a light in this world that left us much too soon.”
