
An eastern Kentucky high school teacher has been arrested.
Michael Spears, 45, a teacher at Boyd County High School, was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse.
He is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student, according to WSAZ.com. The Boyd County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Spears’ home and seized multiple cell phones, computers and a thumb drive.
Spears has taught in the Boyd County school system for 20 years.
He was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond.
