Body pulled from Ft. Knox lake last month identified. Death ruled homicide

The Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division has announced the identity of the body pulled from a Ft. Knox lake last month, and has ruled the death a homicide.

The body was discovered on August 9 floating on Crystal Lake, a body of water near Muldraugh, just off Dixie Hwy (31-W). The small lake, outside the gates of Ft. Knox, is in a publicly accessible area of the military base.

The body, Army officials said, is that of Michael Ray Stewart, The News Enterprise reports. Army investigators have ruled his death a homicide.

No age or hometown of the decedent was released.
