Glasgow man arrested minutes after robbing bank

A Glasgow man has been arrested after robbing a bank.

On Friday afternoon at approximately 1:00, Glasgow police responded to a robbery in progress at U.S. Bank at 100 Wall Street. Upon arriving at the scene, police made contact with the suspect, 42-year-old Adam J. Wood.

The investigation showed that Wood handed a teller a note saying, “I have a gun, give me $500,” according to WNKY.com. The teller complied and Wood exited the bank.

The money was recovered and no injuries were reported.

Wood was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
