Two people have been indicted in the murder of a Taylorsville woman.

On the afternoon of May 29, Kentucky State Police opened a death investigation after human remains were discovered following a Spencer County residential fire.

The fire, on Chatman Lane, about four miles north of Taylorsville, resulted in the death of 35-year-old Christiana A. Walker. After an autopsy, her death was ruled a homicide.

Kentucky State Police along with the Cincinnati Police Department executed several search warrants in Cincinnati which resulted in the arrest of two suspects: 22-year-old Kimberly L. Walton and 39-year-old Edet Wettee, both of Cincinnati, according to a report by WKYT.com.

Wettee is Walker’s former husband.

Both suspects were recently indicted for complicity to commit murder by a Spencer County Grand Jury.

The suspects are being held in the Shelby County Detention Center. Wettee is being held on a $1 million cash bond while Walton is being held on a $500,000 cash bond.
