A Leitchfield man has been arrested on rape and unlawful transaction with a minor charges.

Alexander G. Madison, 25, was arrested and charged with second-degree rape (mentally incapacitated by intoxicating substance) and second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.

Second-degree rape is a class C felony while and second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor is a class D felony.

According to Kentucky Revised Statute 530.065: “A person is guilty of unlawful transaction with a minor in the second degree when he knowingly induces, assists, or causes a minor to engage in illegal controlled substances activity involving marijuana, illegal gambling activity, or any other criminal activity constituting a felony.”

He is lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center. K105 will have more information on Madison’s arrest as it becomes available.

Murphy was previously arrested in August 2020 during a traffic stop with a female juvenile in the vehicle.

In that arrest, then-Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Zane Greer was stationary near the St. Paul Road-Salt River Road intersection when he observed a Ford F150, being driven by Madison, traveling recklessly as it turned left onto St. Paul Road from Salt River Road.

Greer conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of St. Paul Road and made contact with Madison and immediately detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the truck, which also contained a female juvenile.

Madison was given a field sobriety test and arrested. During a search of the truck, Greer and Deputy Sean Fentress located a “significant” amount of marijuana and a “significant” number of gabapentin and other pills.

Madison was charged in that case with DUI, trafficking in marijuana, two counts of possession of a controlled substance (opiates, drug unspecified), prescription controlled substance not in its proper container, careless driving, and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with other charges.
