A man has been sentenced to life in prison for raping a child multiple times.
Ronnie L. Duvall, 49, of Nortonville, was found guilty in a Hopkins County courtroom of first-degree rape (victim under the age of 12), first-degree sodomy (victim under the age of 12) and second-degree sodomy (victim under the age of 14).
The jury, according to WFIE.com, recommended a life sentence on the rape charge, 50 years on the first-degree sodomy charge and 10 years on the second-degree sodomy charge.
Duvall must serve at least 20 years before he’s eligible for parole. Upon his release, he must register as a sex offender.
He was arrested on March 1, 2022, after raping the victim at least 10 times, according to the Madisonville Police Department.
