A drug task force seized 500 fentanyl pills and 500 ecstasy pills among other drugs at a traffic stop in I-65.

The Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force and Kentucky State Police Interdiction Team arrested 60-year-old Gregory C. Parker, of Bowling Green, and charged him with four counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy) and trafficking in marijuana.

Parker was arrested Thursday morning at approximately 10:50 after he was stopped on I-65 for traffic violations by the Kentucky State Police Interdiction Team.

“Probable cause was developed,” police said, and a search of Parker’s Honda Odyssey was conducted with officials locating 500 fentanyl pills, 500 ecstasy pills, four grams of cocaine, one pound of methamphetamine, two pounds of marijuana, and a handgun.

Task force detectives and Kentucky State Police “continue this ongoing investigation as it is believed that these drugs were being transported from another state into the Bowling Green area,” task force officials said.

Parker was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
