Police in Bowling Green are searching for a murder suspect.
The Bowling Green Police Department said that on Saturday morning at approximately 3:00, officers responded to a report of shots fired at Brookwood Mobile Home Park at 1801 Morgantown Road.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers were told a female was on the way to the hospital with an adult male who had been shot, police said. Officers then responded to TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital and discovered 30-year-old Darrius Wickware, of Bowling Green, had died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Detectives quickly developed 37-year-old Quinton “Q” LaShawn Hampton, of Auburn, as a suspect in the shooting.
“We have obtained an arrest warrant for murder for Hampton and are actively searching for him,” police said. “Hampton is considered armed and dangerous.”
Anyone with information on Hampton’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or 270-393-4000.
