An Ohio County woman has been jailed after being nabbed with a large amount of methamphetamine.
Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright said deputies executed a traffic stop “after conducting surveillance on the driver,” as the suspect, 43-year-old Adriane Alvey, of Beaver Dam, was known to have a warrant for her arrest.
During the stop, K-9 Astro was deployed and alerted on Alvey’s vehicle.
During a search, police found about one ounce of methamphetamine on Alvey. Inside her vehicle, deputies located pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Alvey was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, drug unspecified), first-degree promoting contraband, prescription controlled substance not in proper container, and possession of drug paraphernalia along with non-moving violations.
She was also served with warrants charging her with endangering the welfare of a minor and DUI.
Alvey was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
