Grayson County’s Breigh Jones was recently selected as a participant in the annual Kentucky-Tennessee 8th Grade All-Star game.

Jones played in the event on March 2 in Clarksville, Tennessee. It allowed the student-athletes to experience what life is like as a Division 1 NCAA athlete.

Additionally, they gave the players the chance to be interviewed in a “press conference” setting.

Once the game began, the current Lady Cougar finished with four points, three rebounds, and a pair of assists/steals for Team Kentucky.

As an 8th Grader, Jones was the second-leading scorer for the Grayson County girls.

She had a strong close to the season by averaging nearly 15 points per game over the last 10 contests.

Jones also currently ranks at the top of the state amongst her class in points per shot taken which is a stat showing the most efficient scorers.

The season was record-setting for the Lady Cougars. They had their longest win streak in program history of 14 and returned to the 3rd Region tournament for the first time since 2021.

Jones is the daughter of Bryan and Alana Jones.
